CARERS working for existing care providers in North Somerset may now (May, 2017) be eligible to transfer to three winning providers and continue their career in the industry.

North Somerset Council has recently awarded the final care contract for homecare provision across the county for the next seven years to us at Notaro Homecare ltd, together with Brunelcare and Alliance Living Care, who are also looking for brand new recruits during information days on May 30 and 31 to deliver the growing number of hours.

 

Nicky Norville, our Registered Manager said:

“After taking over the care contract from the previous providers, we’re keen to make sure their staff are aware that they may be eligible to transfer to our companies, which will enable them to continue caring for the same service users and allow them to have a blossoming career in the care industry.”

We are working together to transfer existing packages of care from the current providers and are inviting all staff working for existing providers to go along to one of our information days to see if they are eligible to transfer.

Information days will be held on May 30 at the Scotch Horn Leisure Centre in Nailsea from 10am until 5pm and on May 31 at the Parish Wharf Leisure Centre in Portishead from 12noon until 5pm for anyone who is currently employed by one of the existing care providers and wants to transfer or anyone who is simply interested in a career in care.

These information days will offer the opportunity for staff to find more about the new providers and about their rights to transfer whilst keeping their own Terms and Conditions and Length of Service.

 

Tim Part, Assistant Director of Alliance Living Care, said:

“The well-being of service users and the standards of service that people receive are our paramount concern and we’re keen for the information to get out there that we want to provide the best care possible and to employ the staff who have been doing this work to date so that the service users have as much of a seamless transfer of their service as possible.”

“All three companies are also recruiting people who have never worked in care too. We are looking for new recruits to help make a difference within communities across North Somerset to allow individuals to remain in their own homes and receive the compassionate care that they need to do so.”
