All of Notaro’s care provisions are founded on our uncompromising commitment to quality in all areas; this requires us to select only those who have the personal characteristics, professional qualifications and the integrity to uphold our principles.
We only choose people who emit a genuine enthusiasm for providing quality care, a high level of motivation, sensitivity, patience, empathy, respect and the commitment required to maintain exceptional standards.
Each of our carer’s has to complete a rigorous recruitment process. Not only do we look at their qualifications, experience, skills and attributes, we also demand excellent references and undertake an enhanced security check known as DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) on each individual. Only then can we make an accurate assessment on whether someone is deemed right for the company.
Each new carer is trained to the highest standard, encouraged to complete their NVQ/QCF Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification, as well as a mandatory training programme. All of our carers are trained in first aid, fire safety, health and safety, safeguarding vulnerable adults, care and administration of medicines, palliative care and infection control, among others. Full details of training can be seen
They are regularly supervised and observed delivering care in the homes of our service users by a senior member of the team. We will always ask the service user’s permission in advance if we plan to undertake an observation in the home. We greatly appreciate our service user’s cooperation in helping us to maintain and improve upon the standards of service we deliver.
